Our Metropolitan is the President of the Holy Synod, calling synods, managing proceedings, and declaring the canonical decisions of the Holy Synod, according to the Apostolic Canons and the Constitution of our Holy Church.

Our Mission and Vision
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church in East Asia (UOCEA) is a canonical Orthodox ecclesial body rooted in the apostolic faith, the Seven Ecumenical Councils, and the consensus of the Holy Fathers, standing in continuity with the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox tradition and the undivided Church of the first millennium.
Our Church is governed synodally, with authority residing in the Holy Synod of bishops as co-equal successors of the Apostles, rejecting the trend of unilateral canonical rule without pastoral responsibility. The UOCEA exists to proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the Holy Mysteries, form clergy and faithful, and establish stable local churches grounded in sacramental life, doctrinal fidelity, and pastoral care.
Our Core Values
Its constitutional structure safeguards apostolic continuity, ecclesial order, and local integrity while providing a coherent canonical framework for mission, growth, and inter-church relations.
As a missionary expression of Eastern Orthodoxy, the UOCEA integrates the Kyivan patrimony with the broader life of the Ancient Church, advancing a vision of the Church that is conciliar, sacramental, historically grounded, and globally oriented.

Metropolitan Archbishop ++Rogelio
President of the Holy Synod
Met. Rogelio is a trained lawyer, a respected educator, a translator of ancient Christian liturgies and theological texts, and presides over the Synod. He presides as Abbot over St. Benedict's Orthodox Monastery in Luzon, the Philippines.
Archbishop +Joseph
Secretary to the Holy Synod
Abp. Joseph speaks fluent Chinese, has established several schools and universities in Asia, and is highly involved in the work in the Overseas Chinese Communities throughout the Pacific. He functions as chief missioner of the Archdiocese.
Chorbishop +Paulinus
Chancellor of the Archdiocese
Cbp. Paul is a recognized educator in South East Asia. He is the Chancellor of the Archdiocese, and Rector of Holy Theophany Church in Singapore. Under his leadership, the local church is the first Orthodox mission to be established in the "heartlands" with active pastoral programs for the infirm, marginalized, and handicapped in the community.
